    A Coruña

Located on a peninsula in north-west Spain and with over two thousand years of history, A Coruña is now a dynamic and cosmopolitan city, open to innovation and the future.

The city centre lies on a peninsula connected to the mainland by a narrow isthmus. There are two different sea fronts: the port, and on the other side, the open ocean where the main city beaches are located.

In terms of tourism, the city boasts major attractions. In addition to its noteworthy promenade, which at 15 kilometres is one of the longest in Europe, A Coruña is well known for its beautifully preserved Old City, the windowed balconies of La Marina - which have led to its being called the “City of Glass” – and the Tower of Hercules, the only Roman lighthouse that is still working and which was recently declared a World Heritage Site.

The cultural and entertainment possibilities in the city make up one of the most complete offers in northern Spain, with a varied programme of activities throughout the year including nationally and internationally famed jazz, opera and theatre festivals and an ample network of showrooms and museums, among which we could highlight the Scientific Museums of A Coruña (the Domus, Aquarium and Science Museum).

Alvedro airport, where daily domestic and international flights operate, is just 9 kilometres away from PALEXCO, a distance of just 15 minutes.

The bus and train stations of A Coruña are located in the city, and are therefore close to the congress centre.

Finally, PALEXCO is located in the heart of the port area, where passengers disembark from cruise liners, yachts and sailboats from all over the world.
