SUMMARY:30th National Congress of General and Family Medicine
DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to welcome you to the 30th National Congress of the Spanish Society of General and Family Physicians\, a very important scientific meeting that has always served as a framework for reunion\, sharing not only science but also moments of closeness that humanize our laudable profession\, in this wonderful setting\, A Coruña. \nA Coruña: coastal\, historical\, seafaring\, picturesque\, monumental and vibrant\, opens its arms to us. Its Old City\, full of narrow cobblestone streets\, buildings steeped in history and charming squares. The Tower of Hercules\, the oldest functioning lighthouse in the world\, stands on the coast and is the emblematic symbol of this multifaceted city. \nA Coruña welcomes us and from SEMG\, we can only be grateful. \nAs tempting as this scenario is\, no less important is our scientific debate; we have selected top level speakers\, topics of interest in our specialty and for the usual professional practice; a hybrid format will be available\, which will facilitate future consultations to the congress participants after the congress. \nIt will be a wonderful opportunity to discuss common clinical practices\, experiences and scientific advances aimed at improving patient care\, all for the benefit of our highest goal: the well-being of the community we serve. \nWe undertake this year’s congress to be held from June 13 to 15\, with enthusiasm and high expectations; we encourage you to participate once again in the research and training in our area of work\, to respond to professional concerns. Let us be proactive\, inquisitive\, let us raise doubts\, question ourselves\, revive the innovative spirit and be tireless in the search for knowledge\, fundamental for our professional growth\, always with our lighthouse\, excellence in the treatment of our patients\, seeking health with a preventive and holistic approach. \nAnd to conclude\, the poet Alberto García Ferreiro left captured in one of his verses the beauty of this beautiful land expressing: “si me deran á escoller\, / eu non sei que escollería: / si entrar ná Coruña de noite\, / ou entrar nó ceo de día”.
