{"id":55949,"date":"2024-06-05T10:30:53","date_gmt":"2024-06-05T08:30:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.palexco.com\/evento\/mental-health-workshop\/"},"modified":"2024-06-05T10:30:53","modified_gmt":"2024-06-05T08:30:53","slug":"mental-health-workshop","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/www.palexco.com\/en\/evento\/mental-health-workshop\/","title":{"rendered":"Mental Health Workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Bert\u00edn Osborne Foundation&#8217;s free in person<\/strong> e Mental Health Workshop arrives in La Coru\u00f1a.<\/p>\n<p>This workshop is <strong>aimed at families of children with disabilities: parents, siblings, grandparents and caregivers, as well as professionals<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>During 2024 our cycle of face-to-face Workshops will address the topic of <strong>Mental Health<\/strong>: <strong>Self-Care and Emotion Management for families and professionals involved in the care of people with disabilities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Workshops also offer a <strong>free toy library service<\/strong> for children with disabilities and their siblings. It is staffed by volunteers from organizations such as Fundaci\u00f3n Mapfre, Fundaci\u00f3n Once or Circo el Piruleto, who organize games for the children and allow their parents to experience beautiful and necessary moments of Family Respite.<\/p>\n<p>It will be the <strong>next Saturday at 9:30 am at the Palacio de Congresos Palexco located in Mlle. de Trasatl\u00e1nticos, s\/n, 15003 A Coru\u00f1a.<\/strong>. It will feature <strong>Silvia \u00c1lava Sordo<\/strong> (@silviaalavasordo on Instagram) as speaker, PhD in Clinical and Health Psychology. The workshop will start at 10:00 am.<\/p>\n<p>With more than 22 years of experience, Dr. \u00c1lava is a renowned science communicator. He collaborates with various media and is a journalism award winner of the Colegio Oficial de la Psicolog\u00eda de Madrid (Official College of Psychology of Madrid). She is a member and advisor of several scientific societies. He has more than 100 communications in national and international congresses and several research articles published.<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 2\">\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<h2>If the family is well, the sons and daughters with disabilities will be well.<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>In this workshop, the objective will be to <strong>offer families resources to help them take care of themselves and know how to manage their emotions,<\/strong> and to understand how important it is to put themselves first, no matter how difficult it may seem. In this way, they will be able to accompany their sons and daughters with disabilities in a healthy way.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Workshop with limited places<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Space for the free Mental Health Workshop is limited.<\/p>\n<p>Signing up is easy.
