A Coruña is a bright and colourful coastal city located in the northwest of Spain, served by an international airport, and two other airports near the city, with frequent flight connections to other European airports. The city is full of Art-Nouveau-style homes and buildings and is surrounded by one of the world’s longest seafront promenades, 13 km full of beautiful beaches, cliffs and sublime sunsets. The World Heritage Site “Torre de Hércules” was constructed by the Romans in the 2nd century CE and is the world´s oldest Roman lighthouse still in use. The main square gives the impression that you are walking into a Royal court. Its name “María Pira”, is taken from our heroine who saved the city in 1589 when the English, led by Francis Drake, scaled the walls. The three bronze-coated towers of the City Hall glisten in a magnificent colour in the sun. A Coruña is a magical and special city full of calm but with plenty of enjoyable activities and sites within easy reach. The Heritage Site Santiago de Compostela, the Pilgrims Way, Galicia’s Coast of Death, the Cíes Islands, the Ribeira Sacra region, the O Courel rute, the Ézaro waterfall, the Cathedral beach or the impressive and highest coastal cliffs in Galicia located between Cedeira and Cape Ortegal, are some of the places you can enjoy nearby the city.

We warmly welcome you to join us in A Coruña in 2022.
